OUR FIREFIGHTERS

The APFD currently has twelve firefighters and two chiefs on staff. Last year, the department responded to approximately 750 calls for emergency service. When not responding to emergency calls, APFD firefighters also organize outreach events or visit schools to promote fire safety; offer carseat safety checks; teach CPR courses; and assist on an as-needed basis in a broad variety of community projects, such as COVID vaccination clinics, water distribution during the winter storm and other emergencies, or City Hall clean-ups. As Aransas Pass continues to grow, the Aransas Pass Fire Department continues to step up and meet the community’s needs
